Welcome to IPS! You are about to take part in an exciting course at Haverford High School. We will be taking a hands-on, interactive approach to analyze some of the fundamental concepts of physics. Can basketball players really defy gravity when they slam-dunk? How can a house be designed to use the least amount of electricity to meet a family’s needs? What does it mean to blow a fuse? From Newton’s Laws of Motion to the fundamentals of electricity you will be working with your peers to discover first-hand many of the universal principles of the world we live in.
Rather then taking extensive notes, you will find that this course is activity-based. Instead of memorizing rules and facts of science, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in each of our topics and explore them for yourself! So, get ready to jump on in to class!
